While MTR Custom Holsters isn’t a really well known brand yet, I predict that that will continue to grow as more and more shooters are exposed to their products. MTR is really a blend of a holster production processes as they offer custom made holsters on a time frame that you typically see with production holster facilities (think Galco or DeSantis).
MTR also takes a slightly different approach in terms of materials. Instead of using traditional cowhide as a basic leather, MTR uses bullhide. Although bullhide is tougher work with from a holster production standpoint, the holsters they produce are truly built to last. I consider myself to be very hard on holsters as I wear one all the time and really put them through their paces. That being said, the MTR gear I have (some of which is almost 2 years old) looks nearly brand new.
The Slimline Tuckable IWB is MTR’s most popular IWB model (right now) and serves it’s purpose quite well. The dual offset mounting points distributes the weight very well and offers a high degree of holster stability on the belt. A very slight forward cant helps to tuck the butt of the handgun in close, yet still offers a full firing grip for drawing.
This model also features a full bodyshield and a reinforced mouth for easier reholstering. If you are shopping for a concealment IWB holster, then consider the Slimline Tuckable as I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
