Glock 19 Streamlight TLR 7 Holsters – IWB & OWB Leather Holster Styles

The venerable Glock 19 is one of the most popular and widely used 9mm handguns on the market and easily one of Glock’s top 3 most popular pistol models in the United States. Since the G19 is considered a jack-of-all-trades handgun that works for almost any need, it’s only natural that shooters are interested in a good quality weapon light to maximize the pistol’s potential.

However, finding the ideal weapon light can be a real challenge. The ideal light will offer a balance of lighting power (called lumen output), battery life, and a compact size that doesn’t add excessive weight. In an effort to meet that challenge, Streamlight introduced the TLR-7 weapon light in 2018.

Since its introduction, the TLR-7 or a TLR-7 variant has arguably become one of the most popular (if not the most popular) weapon mounted light options for the Glock 19.

The TLR7 light features a 1.5 hour run time on the battery coupled with an actual 500 lumen output. I say an actual 500 lumen output, as some weapon lights offer a higher lumen output, but the non-adjustable light beam is so focused and narrow that it only covers a few feet. The TLR-7 offers 500 lumens of lighting power with good beam coverage for target identification.

The compact size of the TLR 7 makes it a popular choice as a weapon light for a concealment firearm or for a concealed carry sidearm. In addition, the TLR 7 light series is compatible with Glock pistols, regardless of caliber or size.

In addition to the original TLR-7 light, Streamlight also features light variants like the:

  • TLR-7A (High or Low Switch)
  • TLR-7 Sub (which is an even smaller version of the original TLR-7 model)
  • TLR-7 FLEX
  • TLR-7 X
  • TLR-7 HL-X

Holsters for a Glock 19 with a TRL-7 Light

From a handgun holster perspective, we offer several leather holster options to fit a Glock 19 with a Streamlight TLR-7 mounted. The images on this page are one of our G19s with a TLR 7 in an MTR Custom Adversary IWB holster. The holster options we offer include inside the waistband models, and various OWB holster configurations like belt holsters or paddle holsters. In addition, these holsters can be be ordered to fit a Glock 19 with a TLR-7 mounted and a red dot sight mounted.

It’s also worth noting that, due to subtle differences in the various TLR 7 light models, it’s important to understand that each light variant requires a unique holster. For example, a gun holster made for a G19 with a Streamlight TLR-7A High Switch requires a holster made specifically for that firearm and light configuration.

One key aspect of offering a holster for any handgun with a light mounted is building the holster so that the light doesn’t activate when holstered or during the unholstering process. Although all leather holsters require a break-in process, MTR strives to ensure that the holsters are manufactured so the light doesn’t activate while holstered.

Any of the holsters displayed above are available in a configuration to fit a Glock 19 (regardless of the Glock generation) with a Streamlight TLR 7 mounted.
